This has no doubt been a very difficult time for Meadow Walker, who lost her father Paul Walker in a fatal car accident a year and a half ago. At the recent Furious 7 premiere, Meadow celebrated her father's screen legacy, snapping pictures of herself with the film's stars Vin Diesel and Elsa Pataky, who were like family to him as well.
"She had nothing but love," said Tyrese Gibson of Paul's daughter at the premiere of Brotherly Love in Los Angeles on Monday night. "She said we checked all the boxes. She was very proud of the way we went about closing out this chapter."
A chapter that has also been quite lucrative. One week after the release of Furious 7, which includes a touching tribute to Walker, the film is still at the top of the box office, earning over $526.8 million so far, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
For Gibson, it's way more than just a box-office win. "I feel like people have an emotional responsibility to go out and support this movie and it's been life-changing," the R&B crooner said.
So when it came time to celebrate, it was good to see Meadow in such high spirits. "She was all smiles, she didn't have any complaints," Gibson noted, "and she said, 'You guys did right by my father.' "
