Media: this refers to the main means of mass communication (broadcasting, publishing, and the Internet), regarded collectively.
Communication channels through which news, entertainment, education, data, or promotional messages are disseminated. Media includes every broadcasting and narrowcasting medium such as newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, billboards, direct mail, telephone, fax, and internet. Media is the plural of medium and can take a plural or singular verb, depending on the sense intended.
 Organization: an organized body of people with a particular purpose, especially a business, society, association, company, firm corporation, institution, agency, conglomerate etc.
Organizational structure: may be defined as a relatively stable design specifying prediction patterns of authority and responsibility relationship between members of an organization. It portrays the formal control system in an organization, the locations of decision making authorities and the information distribution routes. Two major aspects of an organization structure are the superstructure and the infrastructure. The first is the diagrammatic representation of the vertical and the horizontal levels of authority, post and relationship arrangements, called organogram or organizational chart.
The second which is the structural contains implied relationships derived from the formal arrangements in the superstructure. These are communication relationships, co-operation and conflict direction and leadership and followership relationships.
TVC News is a 24-hour television news channel owned by Continental Broadcasting Service Nigeria Ltd., based in Lagos. From its inception, the network promoted itself as the "first Pan-African news agency" with plans to open offices in Johannesburg, Nairobi, Accra and Dakar. The channel airs on British Sky Broadcasting Group Plc (BSKYb) in the UK, Naspers Ltd. (NPN)’s DStv and Startimes in Nigeria, and Multi TV in Ghana.
Its current CEO is Andrew Hanlon, former Group Head of News and Current Affairs at TV3 Ireland, and its deputy CEO is Lemi Olalemi, former director of programmes at Channels TV. One of the goals of the network is to offer a different perspective to many foreign media stereotypes about Africa. Former CEO Nigel Parsons stated “Without shying away from reporting the conflicts or the corruption, the famines or the wars, the mission of TVC News is also to tell the many positive stories coming out of Africa. Stories – good or bad – will be told ‘through African eyes’.

For any media organization to realize it objectives, there must be effective organizational structure. This is because of the great influence it has on employees’ behavior. some ways through which organizational structure TV continental influences and motivate workers’ behavior are;
The authority given to the editor, manager (programs), manager (news and current affairs) and other superior officers as implied in the structure, determines their behavior and effectiveness.  According to mike okwoche news presenter Tv continental
The degree of reward and coercive power given to them determines the extent to which they influence their subordinates.
In an organization, where there is decentralization of authority, line-editors and senior reporters, principal and senior producers and employees at the lower levels accept greater responsibility than they would under centralized system. This is because decentralization allows for prompt decision making and gives many individuals the opportunity to participate.
Organizational structure determines the communication lines and reporting relationships between media managers one the one hand and that between them and their subordinates on the other.
The organizational structure of TVC is flexible as the CEO does not have any influence on production and dissemination of news, progrmmes and other production to be aired.
