9 year old boxer Carmen is on a ventilator after trying to save her owner. The way authorities found her is both sweet and heartbreaking.
#2 House Fire - Cincinatti, Ohio
When fire broke out in the home of Brian Ledford, the 33 year old owner of Carmen the boxer was found with the dog laying on top of him, in an attempt to protect him.

The dog wouln't leave Ledford, who passed away at a nearby hospital from the fire.
#4 Vitals Are Stable
The dog suffered smoke inhalation and was sedated and put on a ventilator. As of Monday, Carmen's vitals are stable.
